Welcome to Abide in Christ

Receiving Love ~ Releasing Grace ~ Empowering Others

                             John 15: 4

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE...

...in one God, who exists in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. ( Jn 10:30, Mth 28:19, 1Cor 3:14)

...that the Bible is the Holy Scriptures, God's word, inspired and accurate, our perfect guide and the revelation of Jesus Christ. (2 Tim 3:16, Ro 15:14, 2Pet 1:20-21)

...That Jesus Christ is both God and man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, led a sin-less life, God from God to show us God, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again.  Today, Christ is at the right hand of the Father as our high priest and mediator. (Mth 1:23, Is 9:6, Luke 1:26-35, 1Jn 4:10, 1Pet 2:24, 1Pet 1:3, Ro 10:9-10, Heb 4:14, 1Pet 3:22, Acts 2:23, Heb 12:24)

...that sin has separated all people from God, and that only through the finished work of Jesus Christ has the world been reconciled to God. (Ro 4:24 - Ro 5:21)

...that salvation is a gift freely given to all, who come to God, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  Salvation is a new life in Christ and as this life grows within us we are changed form the inside out causing positive life change. (Eph 2:8-10, Ro 3:23, Titus 2:11-12)

...that water baptism declares our dath, burial and resurrection with Christ, and is a testimony of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ro 6:3-4, Gal 3:27)

...that the Holy Spirit is God, and our comforter, who brings to our remembrance who Christ is and what Christ has done, blesses us with spiritual gifts, and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit. (Jn 14:26, Jn 15:26, Jn 16:14-15)

...that the holy communion is a remembrance of Jesus' death, and our identification with HIm.  (1Cor 11:23-26, Luke 22:19-20)

...that Christ's death and resurrection, ascension and sending of the Holy Spirit is the beginning of the New Covenant and provides for an abundant life for all believers.  ( Ro 4:24, Ro 5:10, 17, Eph 1:3,  2Pet 1:2-3)

...that we are called to preach the Gospel, the word of reconciliation, to all nations, and that this is the "great commission" task of all believers. (2Cor 5:17-21, Jn 17:20-26)

...in the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment by Jesus Christ according to the Gospel.  (1Thes 4:13-18, 1Thes 5:1-10 Mth 25:31-46)
