STIR UP THE GIFT OF GRACE GOD GAVE YOU
2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. NKJV
The Word didn’t say to pray for God to stir up the gift, we need to stir it up because that gift can become dormant through the pressures of life, getting too familiar with those we are with, or being lazy and losing focus. Yes, the Lord has new revelations for our lives, but friends the sweet spot in our relationship with Jesus is keeping the gift of Grace He has placed in our lives a vibrant blessing for the glory of God!
What Has the Lord already graced you with? Be certain of who you are in Christ and of the gift He gave you and STIR IT UP! One of the focus points of Abide In Christ Ministries is to encourage people to discover what they love to do and find a way to do what you love to do as a vehicle that carries the message of the good news of Jesus!
Remember the creator lives IN YOU, so the closer you walk with Him the greater your creativity and wisdom. Everything in the Kingdom of God is based on relationship, the closer our relationship with Him, the more we understand how much we need His strength in our lives. Find your flow and when you do then rivers of life will flow out from you!
Fear will always make excuses and blame others. Fear is not from God, but power, love, sound mind is!
1 John2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.NKJ
Notice that it didn’t say Feel the anointing…but said an anointing to KNOW ALL THINGS! You already have the anointing to know all things that you need to know to fulfill what God has called YOU to do! Our steps are ordered by God, you carry the wisdom of God for the next step.
You don’t need to wait for more anointing or gifting…just stir up what you have! Learn to walk with God and trust God and stay in the anointing He has given to you…Stand on your own strengths…not your weaknesses or even the strengths of another. Don’t allow yourself to be conformed by the pressures of life or by the voice of fear, or by being lazy or by your feelings…I just don’t feel it anymore…NO…BE TRANSFORMED BY RENEWING YOUR MIND IN THE WORD!
Romans 12:6 Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them: [He whose gift is] prophecy, [let him prophesy] according to the proportion of his faith; AMP
We are not all graced or gifted the same, know who you are and how the Holy Spirit has graced your life to grow in that area, just like exercising in the natural, the more you train, the stronger you become. Exercise yourself in the gift God has given you! Don’t waste the talent or gift the Lord has given to you! Find a way to glorify God through what He has already placed in you!
Romans 12:7 [He whose gift is] practical service, let him give himself to serving; he who teaches, to his teaching; 8 He who exhorts (encourages), to his exhortation; he who contributes (financially), let him do it in simplicity and liberality; he who gives aid and superintends, with zeal and singleness of mind; he who does acts of mercy, with genuine cheerfulness and joyful eagerness. AMP
Know what your gift is and flow with it in who you are! Don’t be intimidated by someone else’s gift, understand “where is your grace and be confident that your part is just as vitally important as anyone.” Don’t allow the enemy to intimidate you because you may not be a great preacher…but you are amazing a practical service, Don’t be intimidated by the one who prophecy’s, you may be an amazing financial contributor that no one but God knows the difference you make for the Kingdom! Don’t allow the devil to feed you the lie that “I just don’t feel it any more, or it’s someone else’s fault, or because of this or that…NO be transformed by the renewing of your mind! If your gift is practical service…then give your self to serving….stir up the gift God has already given you!
Ephesians 4:7 Yet grace (God's unmerited favor) was given to each of us individually [not indiscriminately, but in different ways] in proportion to the measure of Christ's [rich and bounteous] gift.8 Therefore it is said, When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive [He led a train of vanquished foes] and He bestowed gifts on men. Amp
We are not in competition, nor should we get jealous over others….BUT WE ARE THANKFUL FOR EACH OTHER AND APPRECIATE THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE IN THE KINGDOM!...WHEN you stir up the gift and live in this right attitude then life is good…not always easy…but it is good.
1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. NKJV
Grace can be in vain if we don’t respond to it. Living by faith IS SIMPLY OUR RESPONSE TO GOD AND THE GIFT OF GRACE HE HAS GIVEN TO US! STIR UP THAT GIFT! GRACE! Battles are won when the church arises and shines in the gift of grace God has given and every person is doing their part.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove, what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God. KJV
The perfect will of God is to stir up the gift He has graced you with and use it to advance His kingdom for the glory of God.
